Riveer introduces Monitor Vault for airfield aircraft flushing…

Rinse water shrinkage

South Haven, Mich.…Riveer, manufacturer of aircraft flushing systems and wash carts, introduced the Riveer Monitor Vault designed for aircraft flushing system configurations located in traffic areas or where protection from the gel is required.

Designed to withstand the load associated with taxiway traffic, Riveer Monitor Vaults are certified to withstand the weight of the heaviest aircraft, tankers, fire and rescue vehicles, meeting the requirements of responsibility for the construction of modern airfields. Each vault is equipped with hydraulic and mechanical covers for automated use and easy access. A range of features ensure reliable operations in any environment, humidity and temperature control is standard, with a high capacity sump system, alarms, lights, safety interlocks and of course a Riveer automated water dispensing monitor and nozzle system.

Unlike an open pit design, an enclosed Riveer Vault poses no safety concerns with field-grade, local-grade snow removal or maintenance equipment for the most stringent airfield requirements. Almost complete operating cycle in less than 30 seconds reduces the waiting time for flushing operations essentially in real time for taxi operations. No delays, no setup, just roll and the nozzles rise, flush efficiently, then retract in a heated, dehumidified dry environment until needed again. This relatively fast cycle reduces FOD, airborne dirt and grime exposure, reduces UV exposure, eliminates ice and frost damage.

The Monitor Vault features automated water delivery systems from 200 to 1200 GPM with highly precise CNC positioning for true 3D spray control. The result is precise water distribution over large distances and precise, repeatable area coverage. Automated monitor and vault operation tends to itself in freezing conditions, opening when prompted and closing after the flush cycle.

Marketed to commercial and military aviation, the Riveer Monitor Vault can be designed as an optional water delivery system on the Riveer TRS or Riveer Birdbath. The company’s initial facility operates at the United States Air Force’s 316th Wing Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
