White breaks Harding’s pole vault record at Bison Open

SEARCY – Second year Sierra White broke his own school record in the pole vault on Saturday, one of nine event wins and three NCAA provisional scores for Harding at the Bison Open.

Blanche cleared 4.10 meters or 13 feet, 5.25 inches on her second attempt. It was the sixth-best clearance in NCAA Division II this season and his 10th career victory in the outdoor pole vault.

Harding’s other two provisional grades also came in the field trials. Senior Cara Mason won the shot put with a provisional mark of 14.38 meters or 47 feet, 2.25 inches and as a sophomore Anna Kay Clark won the javelin with a provisional mark of 45.66 meters or 149 feet 10 inches.

Freshman Antiwain Jones won the high jump clearing an NCAA provisional height of 2.05 meters or 6 feet, 8.75 inches.

Harding’s other event wins included: senior Kinga Szarzynska in the 1500 meters (4:57.41), senior Sydney tabor in the 3000 meters steeplechase (12:04.38), junior Bryan Williams in the high jump (1.61m, 5-3.25), second Mariah Miller in the triple jump (11.88m, 38-11.75) and Mason in the hammer (50.08m, 164-4). Harding also won the 4×400 meters relay in 4:03.89.
